Shipping & Live Arrival Policy

3 Bar Aquatics is a U.S.-based seller of live tropical fish shipping to customers within the United States. All orders are fulfilled and shipped directly by 3 Bar Aquatics. We do not use drop-shipping, third-party fulfillment centers, or outsourced shipping services.

Shipping Methods:

Live fish orders are shipped using approved national carriers, including overnight or expedited services through FedEx, UPS, and airline cargo services. Shipping methods are selected based on destination, weather conditions, and seasonal considerations to ensure the health and safety of live animals. Ground shipping may be used only when conditions permit and at the sole discretion of 3 Bar Aquatics.

Shipping Schedule:

Orders typically ship Monday through Thursday to prevent weekend carrier delays. Same-day shipping may occur when orders are received and prepared prior to operational cutoff times. We reserve the right to delay shipment due to weather conditions, carrier limitations, or animal welfare concerns.

Weather & Seasonal Restrictions:

Seasonal shipping controls are enforced. Overnight-only shipping may be required during colder months, and shipments may be postponed during periods of extreme heat or cold. Shipping decisions are made in the best interest of animal health.

Delivery Responsibility:

Customers must be available to receive shipments on the first delivery attempt. Responsibility for the shipment transfers to the customer upon confirmed delivery by the carrier.

Live Arrival Guarantee / DOA Policy:

3 Bar Aquatics offers a Live Arrival Guarantee on all live tropical fish shipments when all shipping and acclimation guidelines are followed.

Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for the Live Arrival Guarantee:
The shipment must be received and opened immediately upon delivery
A continuous, unedited video must be provided showing:
The unopened shipping box
The sealed fish bags
The condition of the fish

  • Claims must be submitted within two (2) hours of delivery
Claims submitted outside this window will not be eligible for review.ResolutionIf a claim is approved, 3 Bar Aquatics may, at its sole discretion:
  • Provide a replacement (customer responsible for shipping costs), or
  • Issue a refund to the original form of payment

ExclusionsThe Live Arrival Guarantee does not cover losses caused by:

  • Carrier delays or missed deliveries
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Improper handling after delivery
  • Failure to follow acclimation or care instructions
  • Customer absence at delivery

Liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the fish only
